Nude lipstick, for me, has always been weird. Mostly because I have a pink bottom lip and when I want to wear nude lip gloss or lipsticks, I don’t want the pink in my lip to show. Normally, I’d have to color correct my bottom lip with concealer if I wanted to that true nude lip look. While I was a beauty editor at EBONY.com, I realized a lot of darker women had the same issue. This is why I decided to scope out some good gloss options for us.
What I wore:
I tried the Woosh Spin-On Lip Gloss in Rich Toast. The best part about this gloss is the patented spinning applicator. It helps apply a smooth, rich layer of gloss in one swipe.[masterslider id=”13″]
How I pulled it off:
I water lined my bottom lid and drew on a cat eye with the Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner. I also added dramatic lashes, but really, that was just for the camera! While I have on a full face of makeup (foundation and concealer), you can pull off nude lip glosses with bare faces, minimally made-up faces or a full face of makeup. But of course, you know this.
I finished my look with MAC’s Powder Blush in Ambering Rose.
